A researcher with a keen interest in projects related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies for Development of Education (ICT4DE).
During my doctoral study, I was focusing on improving In-Service Teacher Training programs within the Higher Education sector in India. Now as an independent researcher and practitioner, I am looking at how to improve the design and delivery of Online programs (Massive Open Online Courses, Small Private Online Courses, etc.) along with supporting Educational Design Research on teacher use of Learning Analytics.
Some of my Research and Outreach efforts
"Designing Learner-Centric MOOCs" is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) offered in the national MOOC platform - SWAYAM, through NPTEL. I am a co-instructor in this course along with Prof. Sridhar Iyer, Prof. Sahana Murthy and Dr. Sameer Sahasrabudhe. The 4-week course has been offered in Feb-March 2019, July-August 2019 and Jan - Feb 2020 through NPTEL.
"Technology-enhanced Evidence-based Education and Learning (TEEL)" is a collaborative research and outreach project with LET Media Lab at Kyoto University. In this project, we are trying to see how a design a facilitating environment for the adoption of Learning Analytics and Evidence-based education by teachers in the Higher Education sector in India.
Mentoring Educators in Educational Technology (MEET-2k15) is a blended faculty training programme, to equip engineering college faculty in effective Technology Integration practices. As part of my doctoral thesis, I had tested out the A2I2 model for designing short-term training programmes.
